Director of Lead Generation
Benchmark International is seeking a driven and detail-oriented sales/marketing professional to join our leadership team as the Director of Lead Generation. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), the Director oversees the entire lead generation process, generating qualified leads for the company’s services and contributing to the company’s overall sales goals. This individual, working collaboratively with the CRO, will develop and execute an evolving, multi-channel lead-gen strategy and associated processes, to maximize the sales team’s qualified opportunities. The successful candidate will be hands-on and measure success through sales plan performance.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lead generation strategies to attract potential clients through various channels.
- Manage lead generation campaigns and channels, including email marketing, content marketing, SEO, PPC, social media, events, advertising, AI tools, and third parties.
- Continually analyze the performance of campaigns and channels, and implement changes to maximize qualified lead generation.
- Leverage the most current tools, techniques, and best practices, including AI and third-party sources, to optimize lead generation.
- Build and maintain relationships with key, internal and external stakeholders, including channel partners.
- Conduct research to understand market trends and the competitive landscape.
- Deliver enough qualified leads to the inside sales team to achieve company goals.
- Work collaboratively with inside sales and marketing teams involved in lead generation to align efforts.
- Maintain awareness of the latest trends and best practices in lead generation to maintain a competitive edge.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess lead-gen effectiveness, and make rapid, data-driven decisions to adjust when warranted.
- Author relevant documentation, including instructions, forms, templates, and guidelines, with a focus on best practice implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional peers, including Marketing, Systems/IT, Operations, and HR, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Successfully manage department budget.
- Conduct regular operating reviews with senior leadership, including CRO, CEO, and COO.
Job Requirements
- 7-10+ years of experience in B2B services lead generation.
- Experience in mergers & acquisitions (M&A) or financial services preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a systems/data-oriented discipline, or similar.
- Budget management experience.
- Proven track record of developing and executing highly effective lead generation strategies.
- Experience with leveraging AI and other software tools for lead generation a plus.
- Proven track record of driving sales funnel and revenue growth.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to effectively communicate across functional teams at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis and reporting, trend analysis, and data-driven decision making.
- Experience with a complex CRM, preferably Salesforce.
- Ability to map the client journey and optimize lead generation efforts.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues and challenges in lead generation processes.
- Demonstrated strong knowledge in lead generation best practices and adaptation.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—both written and verbal.
- High attention to detail, with a commitment to quality and service excellence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with performance dashboards.
- Ability to obtain a real estate sales associate license within a designated time frame.
- This is a fully in-office role with hours of 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Professional business attire required.
Compensation
Benchmark International offers a competitive compensation and benefit package, which includes the following: salary and commission/bonus with on-target earnings of $150,000 - $200,000, discretionary bonus, paid training, recognition initiatives, team-building outings, career advancement opportunities and more.
