Chief Revenue Officer

As part of this evolution, we are seeking a visionary Chief Revenue Officer to lead our Deal Origination Division.
As Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), you will be responsible for building, scaling, and leading our global deal origination function. You will oversee a high-performing team of 100+ origination professionals—spanning sales leaders, account executives, and support staff—across multiple markets.
Your mission: drive top-line revenue growth through strategic leadership, executional excellence, and a relentless focus on client acquisition.
You will define and implement innovative B2B sales and marketing strategies to secure quality engagements from business owners seeking to sell their companies. This role requires a unique combination of strategic vision, operational rigor, and the ability to inspire and lead large teams to surpass ambitious targets.
Job Responsibilities
• Leadership & Strategy
• Develop and execute Benchmark’s global sales strategy to align with corporate growth objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 100+ origination professionals including sales leaders, account executives, and support staff.
• Define KPIs and drive performance metrics across all origination activities.
• Revenue & Mandate Generation
• Take full accountability for revenue and mandate generation within the Deal Origination Division.
• Optimize the lead-to-engagement pipeline and ensure consistent quality of client mandates.
• Identify and pursue new markets, sectors, and outreach channels.
• Sales & Marketing Alignment
• Collaborate closely with marketing leadership to refine go-to-market strategies and messaging.
• Drive integration of sales and marketing efforts to maximize brand reach, lead conversion, and pipeline velocity.
• Operational Excellence
• Establish best practices and scalable systems for sales processes, CRM usage, reporting, and training.
• Foster a performance-driven culture with continuous improvement and innovation at its core.
• Executive Collaboration
• Report directly to the CEO and collaborate with the wider executive team on corporate strategy, resource planning, and investor relations.
Job Requirements
• 10+ years of senior leadership experience in B2B sales and marketing, preferably within M&A, financial services, professional advisory, or other high-value B2B sectors.
• Proven success managing large, distributed sales teams and driving multi-million-dollar revenue growth.
• Deep understanding of consultative sales and relationship-based selling.
• Strategic thinker with exceptional execution skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
Salary
The Chief Revenue Officer's on-target earnings are in the range of $350,000–$400,000 base salary in Year 1, with potential to exceed $750,000+ in Year 2 through performance-based incentives and quarterly/annual bonuses tied to revenue, engagement growth, and team performance.
