Experience
Before joining Benchmark International, Tyrus held several sales and sales management positions for large financial institutions. These roles gave him valuable insight into market dynamics and led to acquiring his FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses, allowing him to operate in regulated client-facing environments. Seeking to broaden his capabilities and take on new challenges, he pursued his MBA at the University of Florida. He transitioned into a role focused on quantitatively analyzing security products and financial instruments. In that position, he was responsible for delivering internal audit reports related to SEC financial reporting requirements.
The combination of front-line financial experience and analytical rigor laid a strong foundation for Tyrus’s success at Benchmark International. The decision to join the organization was driven by his alignment with its values, global perspective, and high-performance culture. Now, as Chief Executive Officer, Tyrus leads the strategic direction of Benchmark International across the Americas from its global headquarters in Tampa, Florida. He focuses on driving innovation, optimizing operations, expanding market presence, and aligning teams to execute the firm’s long-term vision. Under his leadership, Benchmark International continues to evolve as a global M&A leader known for its integrity, excellence, and client outcomes. Helping people achieve what is often a lifelong journey is a truly rewarding experience for him. Tyrus feels successful at work when his clients feel successful.
