Melissa was raised in Dana Point, California, surrounded by the Pacific Ocean—a backdrop that fostered her love for nature and appreciation for the outdoors. In school, she became valedictorian while competing as a dedicated athlete on the volleyball and tennis courts. Early on, she developed a mindset centered on achieving goals through hard work, teamwork, and continuous personal growth, laying the foundation for a career built on discipline, focus, and perseverance.
At Benchmark International, Melissa helps business owners in the lower-middle market navigate their growth and exit opportunities with confidence, clarity, and care. She brings more than a decade of experience as an entrepreneur walking similar paths and having the same experiences—educating owners on value drivers and operating systems, and helping them develop business development strategies, pipeline growth, and sales excellence. She ensures owners are supported, heard, and guided through all stages of business ownership.
Melissa connects business owners with the Benchmark International team, guiding them through the first stages of exploring a sale or strategic growth. She educates, supports, and prepares them for the process, ensuring they feel confident in Benchmark International's ability to deliver.

For nearly eight years, Melissa partnered with physicians to design and execute sales strategies that maximized ROI and drove sustainable growth from their capital investments. This experience taught her how to align operational strategy with revenue outcomes, ensuring that every investment contributed meaningfully to
long-term value.
Building on that foundation, she spent the next eight years as the founder of her own company, which she bootstrapped and scaled to a seven-figure business. She focused relentlessly on crafting effective sales processes and playbooks while increasing customer lifetime value, experiencing firsthand the challenges and rewards of entrepreneurship.
In recent years, Melissa has worked closely with entrepreneurs in the lower to middle market, engaging in conversations around growth strategies, operational systems, and building the teams needed to scale beyond growth ceilings. This journey has deepened her appreciation for the complexities of leading and scaling a business, and it fuels her commitment to helping business owners navigate the opportunities and challenges of an exit or growth strategy with clarity and confidence.

Melissa is passionate about helping business owners achieve successful transitions, supporting entrepreneurs, and building meaningful connections that honor the value of their life’s work. She finds deep purpose in guiding others through pivotal moments in their business journey moments that reflect years of dedication, risk, and vision.
Outside of her professional life, Melissa channels that same passion into her family and community. She and her husband, a combat veteran, are actively involved in supporting combat veterans through charitable work and advocacy. Together, they’re raising three children with values rooted in service, resilience, and gratitude. Melissa finds energy and perspective in nature and movement, enjoying golf, tennis, hiking, reading, and time on the water.
